CYPRESS, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2010)—Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. and Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. have posted details on their corporate Web sites about the tire recalls they announced earlier this week.

Toyo has recalled 1,156 Toyo Proxes ST II and Open Country A/T tires, size 305/50R20, all manufactured at the Toyo plant in White, Ga. between the 16th and 41st weeks of 2009. The tires, Toyo said, may contain a wrinkle in the upper sidewall which may in time lead to sidewall cracks and tire failure. The Web site notice contains the serial numbers of the tires and picture information on how to identify the recalled tires.

Nitto has recalled 818 Nitto Tire Terra Grappler All Terrain tires, size 305/50R20 120S, also manufactured in White, Ga. between the 22nd and 31st weeks of 2009. The Terra Grappler tires also may have upper sidewall wrinkles, and Nitto also provides serial numbers and picture information on identifying the recalled tires.
